Genius Loan：Finance Calculator (package name: com.calculator.genuis.finance.loan; hereinafter referred to as "the App") is a loan and finance calculator. The App operates without any registration, login, or account system. We do not operate our own servers to collect or store your loan inputs, calculation history, or personal profile data.

✅ Your financial calculations stay on your device. Loan amounts, comparison records, and most settings are processed and stored locally. We do not upload your calculator inputs or history to our own servers.

ℹ️ Advertising & analytics. To support a free version of the App, we integrate third-party advertising, analytics, and attribution services (including Google AdMob, Firebase, and Meta/Facebook SDKs). These partners may collect device and usage-related data as described in Sections 4–6 below. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown (see Section 5).

1. Information We Collect Directly

We (the App developer) do not require you to create an account and do not collect the following on our own servers:

Your name, email address, password, or government identifiers.
Your loan inputs, amortization results, comparison data, or calculation history (these remain on your device unless you export or share them yourself).
Location data, contacts, camera, microphone, SMS, or call logs.

We do not sell your loan or calculator data. Third-party partners integrated for ads and measurement may process limited technical and advertising-related information on their own infrastructure, as explained in the sections below.

2. Permissions Used & Their Purpose

The App declares the following Android permissions. They are used only for the purposes described below.

android.permission.INTERNET

Purpose: Required to (1) load and display this Privacy Policy in a WebView, (2) fetch public exchange-rate data for the optional currency tool (api.exchangerate-api.com), (3) request and display advertisements, (4) communicate with Firebase and remote-configuration services, and (5) send analytics, crash, and attribution signals to third-party providers described in Section 6.

android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE / android.permission.ACCESS_WIFI_STATE

Purpose: Check connectivity before network requests (exchange rates, ads, remote config, policy page, and SDK telemetry).

com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID

Purpose: Allows the App and integrated ad/analytics SDKs to access the Android Advertising ID (where available and permitted on your device) for ad delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and campaign measurement. On Android 13+, you can limit ad personalization or reset your advertising ID in system settings.

android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+)

Purpose: Shows optional local reminders about calculator features when the App moves to the background (e.g., after you leave the App). Notifications use preset promotional text only — they do not include your loan amounts or personal financial data. You may deny this permission; core calculators still work without notifications.

Permissions NOT requested: Fine/coarse location, contacts, camera, microphone, phone state (call/SMS), or broad external storage read/write for unrelated purposes.

3. How Your Data Is Processed (Local-First)

Core App features run primarily on your device:

Loan calculators (personal, business, mortgage, auto, fixed deposit, recurring deposit) — computed locally.
Loan comparison — inputs and results stored locally.
Calculation history — saved in a local Room (SQLite) database (genius_loan.db).
App preferences — language, default currency, onboarding status, world-clock zones — stored locally (SharedPreferences / MMKV).
Unit tools & world clock — processed and stored on-device.
Export — PDF and CSV reports are generated in the App's private storage; they are not uploaded automatically by us.

When you use Share (to recommend the App or share an exported report), sharing is handled by the Android system share sheet under your control.

4. Advertising

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). Ad formats may include app open ads, interstitial (full-screen) ads, native ads, and banner ads, depending on context and remote configuration.

AdMob may use the Advertising ID, IP address, device type, OS version, app version, ad interaction data, and similar technical signals to serve, measure, and limit ads. AdMob may work with mediation partners (including Meta Audience Network) to fill ad inventory. Ad content is provided by third-party advertisers; we do not control individual ad creatives.

Ad revenue events (such as estimated impression value and currency code supplied by the ad network) may be reported in aggregated form to measurement tools — not your loan principal, interest rate, or calculation history.

5. Consent for Ads (EEA, UK, Switzerland & Similar Regions)

Where required by applicable law, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present a consent form for personalized advertising and related cookies/identifiers. You may accept or decline personalized ads when prompted, or change choices later through in-app or system flows where available.

If you do not grant consent for personalized ads, you may still see non-personalized or limited ads, and the App's core calculator features remain available.

6. Third-Party SDKs & Services

Besides local open-source libraries (AndroidX, Room, Material, MMKV, Lottie, etc.), the App integrates the following third-party services. Each processes data under its own privacy terms:

6.1 Google Firebase (Google LLC)

Firebase Analytics — app usage events (e.g., aggregated ad-revenue milestones such as totalAdRevenue001), device/app metadata, and diagnostic signals to understand stability and feature usage.
Firebase Crashlytics — crash stack traces, device model, OS version, and app state to help fix bugs. Crash data is not linked to your loan inputs.
Firebase Remote Config — fetches configuration flags (e.g., ad placement settings) from Google's servers; may use an app instance identifier.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — included in the App build for push infrastructure; if used in the future, device tokens may be processed by Google to deliver messages. We do not use FCM to collect loan or financial content.

6.2 Meta / Facebook SDK (Meta Platforms, Inc.)

App Events — logs advertising-related events (e.g., ad impression value and aggregated purchase-style revenue signals used for campaign optimization and attribution). These events reflect ad monetization metrics, not your entered loan data.
Audience Network (via AdMob mediation) — may receive device/ad identifiers to serve ads when Meta fills an AdMob ad request.
Install Referrer — the App includes the Android Install Referrer library to help measure which campaign or store listing led to an install, using data provided by Google Play.

6.3 Other Network Services

Exchange-rate API (api.exchangerate-api.com) — when you use the currency tool, only the selected base currency code is sent (e.g., USD); not your loan amounts or identity.
Privacy Policy hosting — this page may be served from our content delivery network when opened from Settings.

7. What Third Parties May Collect (Summary)

Depending on your region, device settings, and consent choices, integrated partners may process:

Advertising ID (GAID) or its absence/limitation flag
IP address (often truncated or hashed by partners)
Device model, OS version, language, time zone
App install/open/close and ad interaction events
Crash logs and performance diagnostics
Aggregated ad revenue and impression metadata
Install attribution / referrer metadata from the app store

We do not provide third parties with your stored loan history, comparison tables, or exported PDF/CSV contents.

8. Legal Bases (EEA / UK Users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

Consent — personalized advertising and related identifiers/cookies where UMP or system controls apply.
Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, security, non-personalized ad delivery, crash fixing, and understanding aggregated usage, balanced against your rights.
Contract / service necessity — providing the App's requested features (e.g., displaying ads in the free version you downloaded).

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children on our own systems. Third-party ad and analytics services may have their own age restrictions; parents and guardians should supervise device use and manage ad personalization and notification permissions in Android settings.

10. Data Retention & Deletion

On your device: You can clear local data at any time by:

Deleting calculation history inside the App (where supported).
Android Settings → Apps → Genius Loan：Finance Calculator → Storage → Clear storage or Clear cache.
Uninstalling the App (removes local database, preferences, and private exports).

With third parties: Data held by Google, Meta, or other partners is retained according to their policies. You may:

Reset or limit your Advertising ID in Android settings.

11. International Transfers

Third-party providers may process data in countries other than your own (including the United States). They typically use contractual safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) as described in their privacy documentation.

12. Security Measures

We apply reasonable practices for local data: input validation, sandboxed app storage for exports, and secure sharing via Android FileProvider when you share a report. Network traffic to ad and analytics SDKs uses industry-standard TLS where supported by those SDKs. You are responsible for securing your device and any files you export outside the App.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal requirements, SDK changes, permission updates, or new features. Revisions will be posted on this page; the "last updated" date at the top indicates the latest version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Updated content may also be shown inside the App when you open Privacy Policy from Settings.
